Junior Commercial Analyst (Dentons Business Services EMEA)

The Junior Commercial Analyst will primarily be responsible for producing client reports and analysis for various internal clients to specific daily, monthly, or quarterly deadlines. They will also fulfil ad hoc requests for financial information from other parts of the business.
Responsibilities- Prepare monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports tailored to specific client requirements, adhering to the agreed timetable.
- Collaborate with members of the Business Analysis Team, Accounting Systems team, Revenue team, Marketing team, and Partners/fee earners to deliver these reports.
- Supply client information to Risk teams, Marketing teams, Financial Controllers, and partners upon request.
- Deliver insights on partners’ financial results concerning client relationships, project management, and billing credits to the relevant parties.
- Compile Top Clients lists as needed.
- Utilize the Reporting Portal, Elite, or Excel to fulfill ad-hoc data requests.
- Recommend (and implement, when appropriate) process enhancements, including automating reports when feasible.
- Assist the Business Analysis Team with additional reporting tasks undertaken by the team.
Requirements
Technical Skills- Excellent Excel skills (Pivot tables, Data grouping, SUMIF and VLOOKUP functions, Advanced filters, Conditional formatting, Charts, Pivot charts, basic level of VBA)
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- General knowledge of databases and SQL would be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Methodical approach to work with a strong focus on accuracy and presentation
- Can clearly explain problems and issues to others and contribute to their resolution
- Able to effectively negotiate with and influence colleagues and others to achieve a successful outcome.
- Able prioritise and multi-task particularly when working under pressure and to tight deadlines
