The Opportunity
This position works out of our Poland location in the Abbott Heart Failure (HF) Division.
As the Therapy Development Manager you will develop, implement a strategic road map for Heart Failure (HF) market development and Education in alignment with the HF business plans. The Therapy Development Manager identifies market needs in terms of required concept, tools and education for the all stakeholders Physicians/Hospitals, and ABT HF Poland team.The complexity of the job is driven regional, product differences and alignment with all EMEA functions and as such a critical role and contributor for business growth.
This position is responsible for serving as a key contributor of the overall commercial effort for the HF portfolio including i.e. leading product launches, product management, increase market access/reimbursement, co-develop with sales leader’s growth strategies and collaborating with sales/marketing and other cross functional teams on various initiatives.The incumbent in this position will be regarded as the commercial leader of his/her assigned product to facilitate marketing and education strategies in order to transform flat markets into sustainable total market growth opportunities and protect/growth of our market share
What You’ll Do- Develop and execute strategic and tactical marketing plans for assigned product lines, resulting in annual and mid-term growth plans.
- Create and implement HF education strategies (Patient Referral System) to meet the needs of physicians, distributors, and ABT HF.
- Analyze strategy results to ensure sales and profit objectives are met.
- Build market intelligence frameworks and dashboards for HF, integrating them into business plans.
- Lead accurate market share reporting and collaborate with sales leaders on necessary actions.
- Develop sales enablement tools and support the sales team in executing programs and strategies.
- Lead international HF society trade show strategies, including symposiums and customer meetings.
- Participate in HF management team activities, including planning, budgeting, and team development.
- Develop and measure training-based initiatives, such as Multi-Physician Education programs and peer-to-peer education.
- Collaborate with Program Management and Strategic Marketing to drive product and data development priorities.
- Define and execute strategies to ensure market penetration and growth in alignment with the Poland Manager Heart Failure.
- Keep sales teams updated with new scientific data and competitive product information.
- Manage contracts with HF Centers of Excellence for educational events and gather input from KOLs on marketing and educational strategies.
- Attend trade shows and conferences to discuss new product developments and meet clients.
- University degree (in science related field preferred)
- At least 5 years of proven experience in Medical Sales in a complex matrix environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of heart failure therapies in medical devices or pharma.
- Team leadership and development skills in a matrix organization.
- Native Polish and Fluent English
- Proven track record of delivering valuable projects and activities.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, physicians, and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication, negotiation, sales, and presentation skills.
- Experience in a broader enterprise/cross-division business model preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
- Capable of working both independently and in a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills at multiple organizational levels.
- Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and deadline management.
