Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a committed and experienced person to join the sales management team as a Sales Manager (Motors & Drives). In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Motion's sales strategy in Poland to further improve ABB's market penetration and achieve our growth targets.Your main focus industries will be: power, chemical, oil, gas, cement and mining, pulp and paper. Through your overview of the entire drive technology product range, its optimal use, and the continuous observation of our market competitors, you will significantly promote our business success.
You and your team will also be responsible for developing new business opportunities and improving existing ones. Every day, you will plan, lead, and ensure the execution of the sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets for products, systems, and/or services, and to ensure sustainable order growth, revenue, profitability, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction.
In addition, you will demonstrate your professional and soft skills by leading, developing, and coaching the employees in your sales organization to achieve sales goals through high performance.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid
You will be mainly accountable for:- Analysis of customer needs and monitoring of competitors based on general market information and information provided to the sales force in coordination with the sales and marketing team. Identify and evaluate new opportunities with existing and potential customers together with the sales team, establish plans for implementation, and allocate the necessary resources.
- Leading the team and driving people and talent development within the organization - guiding, motivating, and developing in line with HR policy.
- Assisting the team and customers in identifying the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in developing competitive/strategic proposals. Participating in the coordination and negotiation of orders and framework agreements.
- Setting product and system prices in close coordination with our manufacturing plants according to local market needs.
- Ensuring efficient marketing efforts (e.g., product launches) and communicating with the sales team and customers, communicating the value proposition of the company's products, systems, services, and packages. Planning and conducting customer surveys and implementing survey results to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Representing ABB Motion portfolio at trade fairs, events, etc.
- Documenting all activities, planning, and follow-ups in our central CRM tool Salesforce and internal tools.
- Close cooperation between sales team members and the Product Management, Service, Order Processing, and Marketing departments, as well as other ABB business areas or divisions and globally relevant Group offices.
- Higher technical education in Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Control and Automation, or Industrial Engineering.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in sales management of products and system solutions, preferably in electric drive technology (electric motors, frequency converters, digital services, controls, services). Experience in a team management position.
- In-depth market and specialist knowledge in the motor and drive technology industry.
- Category B driving license and willingness to business travel.
- Very good written and spoken Polish and English language.
- Knowledge of the CRM tool Salesforce and SAP is advantageous, good knowledge of the MS Office.
- Cooperative and solution-oriented working style, negotiation skills, very good presentation and communication skills.
- Cost-conscious thinking and acting, independence and team orientation.
